Referrals to the Child Development Service need to be made by a doctor, other health professional, teacher or Needs Assessment Service Coordinator.
We do not accept referrals that sit outside our service contract. Refer to one of the following if the reason for referral is listed and there are no additional development concerns.
Paediatrics
Suspected or diagnosed ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) or ADD (attention deficit disorder), for example unable to stay on task, difficulty sitting still, unable to maintain attention or concentrate.
Soiling or wetting problems.

Moderate to severe mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and self-harm.

Isolated speech and language concerns — a private speech-language therapist can also help.
School-based concerns or needs, such as handwriting, transitions at school or access to the curriculum — Also talk to the school about this.
