Hapū Wānanga
A FREE kaupapa Māori labour, birth and parenting programme designed for young pregnant women and their families/whānau in Taranaki.
The Hapū Wānanga Programme is an interactive and fun programme run over two days.

What is involved?
Preparing for labour, birth and parenthood can sometimes be overwhelming. Hapū Wānanga is an interactive and fun programme for you and your whānau to provide the best information and skills in preparation for parenthood.
The programme is led in a kaupapa Māori way, delivered by Māori health professionals - midwives Tawera Trinder and Sharron Wipiti and doctor Moerangi Tamati.
Over the two days, you will hear from interesting speakers, participate in interactive workshops with all kinds of props, link with other like-minded people and you may even win a prize or two for your efforts!
What is provided in the programme?
All meals are provided including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, dietary requirements will be catered for. After completing both days or the online programme, you will receive a Wahakura and pepi gift pack.
