Give a Quit! Is a smoking cessation campaign developed by ASH, has been backed by three pharmacies in Taranaki.
“The Give a Quit! campaign is a great initiative for concerned friends and family of people who currently smoke and an awesome way to acknowledge they care says Karmin Erueti-Thatcher, Smokefree-Auahi Kore Coordinator for the Taranaki District Health Board.
“Sometimes people who want to quit just need an extra little incentive or reason to move in the right direction. Being given a Give a Quit! card makes things easy and inexpensive for smokers looking for a way to get started on the journey of making a quit attempt,” Karmin adds.

The not-for-profit campaign sees each Give a Quit! card selling for $7.95, which contains a greeting card, nicotine patch, a quit card and a $5. Pharmacy Guild voucher which ensures the Nicotine Replacement Therapy comes at no cost to the recipient of the gift.
