Taranaki Base Hospital Facilities Redevelopment

This project comprises three stages within the development. Stage one establishes a new four storey block which houses theatre/day stay ambulatory services; Services for the Elderly ward collated with Allied Health on one floor; and two medical and two surgical wards.

In the second stage, a new block will be built subsequent to the demolition of the current ward block. This new area will house ED and AAU, and on the first floor Maternity, Paediatrics and Neonatal services. Stage 3 will see a full refurbishment and strengthening of the Clinical Services Block to house the new Outpatients area.
The Taranaki District Health Board is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Project Director to facilitate the delivery of stage one of this major hospital infrastructure project within a total cost of $80M. Respondents to the EOI may be an individual or an organisation.

The Project Director will be engaged, to manage and lead the procurement of stage one of the redevelopment project comprising all stages of the development up to commissioning of the new facilities.

Candidates are required to demonstrate in their submission relevant experience in managing and delivery of large scale, health related infrastructure projects.
