Patea Health Centre

The Patea Health Centre services a geographical area between Manutahi in the north and Nukumara in the south. The centre is open between 8.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

The district nursing service is available betweem 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. The service is provided weekends and Public Holidays as required. A palliative care service is also provided.

Outpatient clinics are held on a regular basis, including paediatric, psychiatric, diabetic, dietitian, cervical screening and vision/hearing. Blood tests and ECGs are also available at the centre.

Clinics held by private practitioners include orthopaedic, surgical, podiatry. A mobile Dental Bus is based at Patea Area School for two days a week. This service is free for all 0 to 18 year olds.

The hospital courier service links with Hawera and Taranaki Base hospitals as necessary. If patient transport is needed, morning and afternoon runs are made as required. Bookings are essential.
