Running a session at the Education Centre
When running a session
- Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to commencement to ensure seating is suitable and equipment is functioning correctly.
- Outline the emergency evacuation procedure at the start of the session. You will find the information on the wall in each room.
- There are three telephones for use in the main reception area of the Education Centre. The office telephone is not available for general use.
- Ensure all attendees print their names on the attendance sheet provided.
- This is required to meet our Emergency Evacuation Procedures and help
- with our statistics.
- Leave the room neat, tidy and according to the room plan located on the wall adjacent to the room entrance. Please report any damage or equipment problems to reception staff and the Education Centre.
The Education Centre will ensure that
- All rooms and equipment, according to bookings, are available and ready for use.
- A sign indicating your session will be placed on the direction board at the entrance to the Education Centre, excluding nights and weekends.
Hireage Charges
Venue: There is a standard fee of $100.00 per day for the use of the room, or $50 for a half day (equipment is included in the room cost if held here)
Method of payment
On confirmation of the booking you will be asked to provide: company/business name, address, contact persons name and his or her phone number. Payment by cheque made out to the Education Centre is preferred one week in advance.
Cancellations
There is a penalty of 10% of the total hireage fee incurred should your confirmed booking be cancelled within seven days of the booked date.
Food service facilities
It is the meeting/seminar convenor’s responsibility to contact the food service supervisor on 7536139 ext 7996 when a large number will be using the cafeteria facilities or when a food trolley is required. We suggest you do this when you are booking the venue.
